Demo model clearance specials! Grab some e-bike bargains

We love our e-bikes, love showing them to people, love riding them and love riding to go to show people. We've ridden them to Melbourne, across Tasmania, to grab lunch every day and more. Then there's the hordes of people test riding them in our shop before they buy and the bikes they borrow when we are servicing their electric bikes. All in all this means we have a lot of demo models and it's time we get rid of some so that we can actually move around in the shop. The bikes listed below are in varying condition with imperfections noted and a suggested price. This is the only time you'll hear us say this: feel free to haggle. The list below will increase to around a dozen bikes as we get organised and list more of our demo bikes. Here goes...

1 - Wisper 706 Alpino with 14Ah battery. This bike is in almost perfect condition and has a brand new battery as well. It has a Velo Plush saddle instead of the brown Wisper one and we can't even remember why. Full warranties apply to this bike. It's going for $2000, a huge $635 discount.

2 - SOLD! eZee Quando folding electric bike, white in colour with 10Ah battery. It's also in almost perfect condition. When we were desperate for a Schwalbe Big Apple 20" tyre (the Australian distributor was out of stock) we took it from this bike but now it's been reunited with its tyre. In a similar fashion it lost its chainguard. If you buy this bike you will be able to get a new chainguard for it, just not for a couple of months when it arrives with our next shipment of eZeebikes. The battery has a few scratches. Full warranties apply to this bike. It's going for $1600, an amazing price for a very reliable folding electric bike!

3 - SOLD! Wisper 906 Alpino with 14Ah battery

4 - eZee Quando folding electric bike x 2, silver in colour. This bike has been used and abused as a commercial delivery vehicle. Totally inappropriate vehicle for that kind of work and as a result it is absolutely knackered. It's filthy, stuff rattles and it looks and sounds like a heavy smoker. If you're looking for a bargain that won't bite you like those cheap e-bikes online then this is the one for you. The battery is new or near new (not the one that was used during delivery) and carries an 18 months warranty. The motor and controllor have 6 months warranty and no other parts are under warranty. Good for lighter people or those who don't pedal too hard or just don't go very far. Going for $1000 with a 10Ah battery or $1250 with a 14Ah battery which is half price

5 - Wisper 906 Alpino with 14Ah battery and brand new motor wheel. This bike has been ridden over 5000km and is very, very used. The mudguard, chain guard and battery sliding rail all rattle. The paint has been damaged in many areas and the previous owner drilled into the front fork to install an AXA wheel lock. It's going at a steal of $990, around a third of the new price. Very good value considering it has a brand new motor wheel.

6 - eZee Torq Alfine with black highlights (black spokes, black anodised motor wheel, black handlebar and stem). This was the first Torq Alfine that we received which quickly convinced us to add it to our standard range of eZees. It's been hanging around now and hasn't got some of the features that Torqs now come with such as the L700 super bright front light and the Pletscher dual leg kickstand, so we want it gone. Going for $2400 with a 14Ah battery, $700 lower than the rrp.

7 - eZee Torq. This has been a demo bike for a long time and was shipped to Cargo Cycles, our dealer in Melbourne, for the cover photo shoot for a magazine article about electric bikes. It's in perfect working order, just well used and with several frame scratches. Price to be negotiated with Cargo Cycles, which has it for sale on their showroom floor in Collingwood.

That's it for now, more coming including an eZee Cadence, another Wisper 706 and one more Alpino 906.
