Adaptor bar for putting step through bicycles on car racks
This adaptor bar allows your step through bike or other bike with a non-conventional frame to be mounted on car racks that would otherwise need a bike to hang from its top tube.
For bike mechanics, home and otherwise, this is a handy tool to allow you to hang a bike on your workstand when no other tubes are suitable, such as dual suspension bikes, some small step through bike and various types of kids' bikes.
This particular Adaptor bar is Bikecorp branded and has generously sized ends with easy to release clamps. It's lightweight and telescopic, very versatile and very easy to use - no tools required, no nuts and bolts or wingnuts to take on and off, no little pieces to lose.
A word of warning about using these devices with e-bikes: They're only rated to 15kg and most e-bikes are heavier than that so if you choose to use one of these (and plenty of people do) be extra careful that you've got your seat post clamped tightly. Also watch that this bar isn't crushing any of your electrical wires on the bike and that the bike isn't hanging too low to the road or sticking out too far from the sides of the car. In NSW you can have 15cm of bike sticking out past the side of each side of your car.
This adaptor bar is not required for bike/car carriers where the wheels of the bike sit on the carrier, such as the Thule Europower e-bike carrier.
