Bikamper bicycle tent by Topeak

A very clever Topeak product, this is a tent that is specifically designed for bicycle tourers, with the following features:

- mounts to your handlebar, leaving more weight and space available on your pannier rack and makes it easy to get your tent out at night

- uses your bike and front wheel as the tent's structure allowing this tent to weigh in at only 1.6kg

- covers your seat and handlebars so your bike stays warm and snuggly and dry at night

- is connected to your bike so you can rest easier knowing that you'll wake up if someone tries to steal your bike!

It has the following downsides:

- only fits one person or two friendly people

- requires you to take your front wheel off, so not great for e-bikers with front hub motors or other rides with non quick release front wheels

- is not freestanding so you have to pitch it with your bike or find some other way to tie it out. Inconvenient if you want an indoor tent for mosquitos some nights or can't find a camping spot big enough for your bike as well.

Glow Worm mechanic Lisa and a visiting friend cycled from Sydney to Melbourne along the coast and loved every bit of this tent. They both fit happily in it and highly recommend it.
