The controllor is one of the most important components of an electric bicycle as it has a primary effect on performance, reliability and longevity of the rest of the parts that connect to it. The controllor is also one of the most impressive components on the eZeebike electric bicycles. The controllor is conformally coated on the inside and sealed in a weatherproof alloy case with heat sinks and mounting points. The external connectors are minimal in number and each uses high quality parts such as genuine Anderson power connectors. The cables are mechanically restrained to avoid damage. The parts inside include genuine high power MOSFETS. The controllor even has a self-diagnostic LED which can help you troubleshoot any electrical issues.

Types: When ordering this controllor please specify what it is to be used for. The controllors for kits and motors have different battery terminal connectors. Also, the motor harness wires improve over time and may have changed from the e-bike or kit that you own. Finally, when installing this controllor onto an eZeebike, some have longer wires than others because some frame sizes are larger than others. The best way is to give us your bike frame's serial number or if this is a replacement for a kit, the serial number of the previous controllor.
Installation: Installing the controllor onto an eZeebike kit is simple enough, which you would know if you installed the kit. Replacing the controllor in an eZeebike is not a quick task and is usually done by your dealer. As with removing the battery gauge, it requires removing heat shrink and cable ties with small side cutters or snips. When installing the new controllor you will need heat shrink and a heat gun to get everything back to its original, high standard. In addition you will need phillips screwdrivers and a number 10 spanner, preferably a ratcheting one to save time. Finally, you'll need the cool head and hands required for any mechanical work, especially one that involves wires as well. The good news is that it isn't often done because of how well it is put together.
