Covid 19 has caused significant disruption to the bike industry.
On the one hand, sales of bikes, including e-bikes, has drastically increased as a result of Covid. With more people avoiding public transport, many have turned to bikes as a low risk & affordable way to commute to work or for leisure & fitness riding.
As a result, the industry faces supply issues for all bike components including frames, electric systems & parts such as brakes & gears. Manufacturers are currently unable to keep up with global demand.
In addition to these challenges, global supply chain disruptions have resulted in long delays & huge price increases for the transport of products worldwide.
Given these factors, we expect the bike industry to face several challenges in 2022 including:
To minimise the effects of these challenges, we recommend that if you are in the market to purchase an e-bike, consider pre-ordering your bike ahead of it's arrival to secure an e-bike & minimise delays & price increases as much as possible.
Pre-ordering an electric bike
Bikes we have pre-ordered that have been confirmed by our suppliers are available to pre-order here.
Pre-ordering will ensure you don't miss out on the perfect bike for you.
Once we have an ETA from our supplier, we'll add it to the product page.
It is reasonable to expect that the ETA may push out and if it does we'll let you know.
All pre-orders are fully refundable if the arrival is delayed or if you change your mind before the bike arrives.
