Diamond (DI) is the full frame/step over frame style.
Wave (WA) is the step-through frame style available in mid-range and premium models, with frame-integrated battery.
Comfort (CO) is the step-through frame style available in entry level models, with external Bosch Power Pack.
Not every model/level will be available in all frame styles. Get in touch with one of our sales team to check availability.
Help! What does "K24 Kalkhoff Endeavour 1.B Move Performance Smart CO" actually mean??? Click on the tabs below for a breakdown of the Kalkhoff terminology:
Each Kalkhoff product is labelled "K23" or "K24". This indicates model year. Generally speaking the newer models have improved features and are priced slightly differently. For example, K24 onwards has Bosch Smart System, so "Performance Smart" means Bosch Performance Line Smart System.
There are three models currently available in Australia. The Endeavour, the Entice, and the Image
The Endeavour is our most popular Kalkhoff ebike. It has "regular" (external/derailleur) gears, front suspension, and durable city tyres.
The Entice is just like Endeavour, but with knobbly tyres perfect for riding off-road, slightly cushier front suspension to soften a bumpy ride, and a slightly wider gear range, giving you more hill climbing capacity.
The Image runs on internal hub gears. There's no derailleur or cassette, so you'll save a bit of money in servicing replacement parts, and it's available in belt drive.
The Platform Level (1.B, 3.B, 7.B) indicates the quality of componentry. The higher the level, the better your mechanical and electrical components. For example, the Endeavour 1.B has 8-speed gears, Performance Line motor, 500W battery, and 130kg capacity. The Endeavour 7.B+ has 10-speed gears, Performance CX, 700W battery, and 170kg capacity. The B stands for Bosch!
Each Kalkhoff bike is labelled with its frame shape, either DI (step-over), WA (step-through) or CO (step-through).
If you've made it this far, congrats! You're now a Kalkhoff expert.
Warranty on frame: 10 years
Bosch warranty: 2 years
Kalkhoff ebikes run on the Bosch electric system. This is a mid-drive system, and the power is delivered via pedal assist (you pedal, and the motor gives assistance). They are limited to 25km/h as per NSW regulations, and they do not come with nor are they compatible with a throttle. Bosch manufacture their own battery cells at their factory in Germany; Bosch batteries are considered to be some of the safest lithium-ion ebike batteries available.
It might be! Not all models/frame styles/colours are imported into Australia, so there's a chance you might be looking at a model that's only available overseas, or it may be available with an extended lead time. Contact one of our sales team and we'll find out for you.
